If you buy the Imploding Kittens Expansion, it would be basically worthless, as the only new card is the imploding kitten. The party pack itself is the core game of Exploding Kittens plus the Imploding Kittens expansion (without the imploding kitten card) plus enough duplicate cards to play with up to 10 people. The party pack isn't DESIGNED to be compatible with expansions, but you CAN make it work.
